This place is great. BBQ and drinks were both top notch, staff was excellent. Definitely recommend stopping here if you get the chance. A little pricey for what it is, but the BBQ is smoked for 8 hours, not cooked in an oven so that makes up for it.
Really enjoyed this restaurant! We stopped in heading home from New Orleans & weren't disappointed! The chicken strips & brisket were excellent. The homemade ranch & vinaigrette BBQ were yummy as well! Definitely worth the stop!
Always pass by and see their lot packed, figured it had to be good. I can say I'm not disappointed. I'm a bit of a picky steak eater and I can say honestly it was perhaps the best steak I've ever had. My only regret was spending 50$ for just one meal. I left full but my wallet didn't. But that's not what cost them a star. Their restrooms are tiny, and the toilet was absolutely showered in urine from tank to base. They are lucky it only cost them 1 star not 2 or 3. If not for the amazing service it'd be a 3 star location.
When driving through the town of McGehee, we always make a stop at Hoots when possible. The design is clever, with orders placed at the window and food then delivered to the table. This model works well, since the demand at lunchtime is startling. Burgers are very good, and BBQ is excellent. I am also a fan of the catfish. Keep up the great work!
Got the ribs. The BBQ sauce was really good! Home made fries were good. Cheesecake was great too! Gotta head back while I'm in town.
